Section 1 Parish Assembly
- The Parish Assembly is the general meeting of the members in good standing as defined in Article III, Section 2c above.
- The Parish Council shall convene parish Assemblies at least twice each year, or when ten percent of the members in good standing submit a written petition to the Parish Council. Such petition shall state the purpose for such meeting.
- The members shall be notified of the Parish Assemblies at least ten days prior to the meeting.
- Members may vote at the Parish Assembly if they have been in good standing for at least three months.
- The Priest shall be a non-voting member at the Parish Assembly.
- The quorum for a Parish Assembly shall consist of 25 percent of the members in good standing. Proxies shall not be permitted.
- If a quorum is not present, a Parish Assembly shall be called within twenty-one days. At that time, the members in good standing present, may make decisions with the exemption of matters pertaining to the purchase or disposition of Parish property. For these matters, a quorum of the members in good standing is required.
- The proceedings of the Parish assembly will be led by a Chairperson to be selected by the members in good standing.
